Clinical studies with Bioskinco's wound dressing epifast®

Prior to its approval in Mexico in 1999, wound dressing epifast® was tested for the treatment of deep dermal and full thickness burn patients. Several controlled prospective studies showed that wound care dressing epifast® promoted more rapid tissue regeneration and epithelialisation of deep dermal burns and split thickness skin graft donor site wounds and reduced pain, resulting in an improved outcome for patients and a reduction in treatment time 5, 6, 16, 17.
